"Lightly sparling and refreshing with delicate aromas of fresh citrus and elderflower".

Based near Helston, Foodswild - who began as a foraging company, specialising in the supply of edible seaweeds, wild vegetables, flowers, berries, nuts and mushrooms - use freshly gathered wild Cornish nettles to brew this unique alcoholic drink.

For Miles Lavers - the owner of Foodswild - sustainably is a passion, and wild, locally gathered food comes with an incredibly low carbon footprint. By bottling locally , initially with Keltek Brewery in Redruth, and now Woodenhand Brewery, Truro, they are able to keep the carbon miles to a minimum.

With growing popularity, Cornish Stingers has gained recognition and following at trade shows and food and drink events across the county but now that a significant amount of it has been bottled, they are spreading out, and retailing accross Cornwall, and beyond.

Trystan Grace - marketing assistant at Keltek Brewery - said, "We're really happy to be involved in the production of such a purely Cornish product. The nettles are gathered locally, brewing takes place on a farm near Helston and it's bottled in Redruth."

Cornish Stingers is available direct sales@cornishstingers.co.uk. Wine in Cornwall of Penryn, at Helston Farmer's Market on the first Saturday of each month, Penzance farmers market every Friday. The Eden project. Many Spars and Premier shops. And spreading!
